Indpur (Bengali: ইন্দপুর) is a town, community development bloc and assembly constituency in Bankura district in the Indian state of West Bengal.

Indpur is located at 23.1667° N 86.9333° E. It has an average elevation of 118 m (390 ft).[1]

In the 2001 census, Indpur community development bloc had a total population of 137,800 of which 70,876 were males and 66,924 were females. Decadal growth for the period 1991-2001 was 10.15% for Indpur, against 13.79% in Bankura district. Decadal growth in West Bengal was 40.13%.[2]

Indpur Bloc had a total scheduled caste population of 57,392 and a scheduled tribe population of 13,151.[3]

Indpur is an intermediate panchayat in Bankura district, with Bheduasole, Brahmandiha, Brajarajpur, Gourbazar, Hatagram, Indpur, and Raghunathpur village panchayats under it.[4]

In the 2006 elections to the state assembly, Indrajit Tangi of CPI won the Indpur seat, reserved for scheduled castes, defeating his nearest rival Gour Chandra Lohar of BJP. Kirti Bagdi of CPI defeated Madan Bouri of AITC in 2001 and Bibekananda Layek of INC in 1996. Madan Bauri of CPI defeated Shib Sankar Mondal of INC in 1991, and Binode Behari Maji of INC in 1987 and 1982. Binode Behari Maji representing Janata Party won the seat in 1977 defeating Radharaman Moi of BBC. [5]

Indpur is part of Vishnupur (Lok Sabha constituency).[6]

As per order of the Delimitation Commission in respect of the delimitation of constituencies in the West Bengal, Indpur will cease to be an assembly constituency. Veduasol, Brahmandiha, Hatagram Indpur and Ragunathpur gram panchayats of Indpur community development bloc will form part of Chhatna assembly constituency. Brajarajpur and Gaurbazar gram panchayats of Indpur community development bloc will form part of Taldangra assembly constituency.[7]
