The Indonesian Institute of Sciences is the governmental authority for science and research in Indonesia.
It is called Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia, or LIPI, in Indonesian. LIPI consists of 47 research centers in the fields ranging from social to natural sciences.
