Indobrit

The term Indobrit is a neologism created in 1999 by Dr. Anjoom Mukadam and formed the basis of her PhD thesis 'Gujarati Speakers in London: Age, Gender and Religion in the Construction of Identity'.

The term Indobrit is used to describe individuals of Indian heritage and British nationality. This term is merely a means of identifying individuals who have a common trajectory and should not be viewed as being a fixed category that is imposed on individuals.

The term is a registered trademark that was used unlawfully by the con artist Farah Damji

Recently the term was cited in the novel 'Londonstani' by Gautam Malkani.
