Indigenous Knowledge Centre

The State Library of Queensland established Indigenous Knowledge Centre's (IKC's), serve as information hubs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities throughout Queensland.
IKC's provide the services of a local library, act as a meeting place and provide a safe place to keep important artefacts or artworks within the community.
IKC's are established in:

- Boigu Island
- Cherbourg, Queensland
- Poruma (Coconut Island)
- Erub (Darnley Island)
- Dauan Island
- Injinoo
- Lockhart River
- Mabuiag Island
- New Mapoon
