Vietnam has a long historical association with India. Some of the earliest empires in Vietnam, namely Cham were Hindu and their architecture still can be seen at My Son, a UN World Heritage Site. Also most Vietnamese practice Buddhism, which arrived from India on the 1st century C.E.
