Indianapolis Power & Light Company, also known as IPL, is a utility company providing electric service to the city of Indianapolis. It is a subsidiary of AES Corporation, having been acquired in 2000.

IPL was incorporated in October 1926, and by the end of that year had acquired the other electric companies in the city. The company's present-day headquarters building on Monument Circle was built in 1935. In 1937, IPL began a rural electrification program, running power lines to many areas outside Marion County.
