An Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Bhubaneswar was established in the city of Bhubaneswar in Orissa in 2007. It is partly funded by the government of Orissa, and partly self-financed. The institute has a 100 acre campus close to the new Infocity-II area in the city, where several IT companies are building new offices. It started operating in September 2007, with a small initial intake of 60 students.[1][2][3]
