Indian Institute of Aeronautical Engineering

Indian Institute of Aeronautical Engineering was started in year 1992 in Dehradun (Uttarakhand). In year 1992 at 215/1, Kalidas Road, Dehradun, from year 1995 to 2006 at 179- Kalidas Road. Now It is situated near Jolly Grant Airport (class rooms with small capacity has been constructed & hostels and other buildings are still on construction, However hostel facility is temporarly avaible privately) with all Aircraft Training Facilities. Indian Institute of Aeronautical Engineering is registered with office of sub registrar; Government of India, New Delhi vide no. 488770 under Indian Registration Act 1908.

Indian Institute of Aeronautical Engineering is promoted and founded by Mr. Mahendra Kumar Chartered Engineer, Life Member of Institution of Engineers(India)M.I.E, Ph.D. (Work Base), Life Member of Aeronautical Society of India(M.Ae.S.I), Fellow of the Institution of Automotive Engineers(F.I.A.E). Life Member of Indian Institute of Industrial Engineering(M.I.I.I.E), Life Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineer(M.I.Mech.I)Senior Member of American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics(S.M.A.I.A.A),M.C.S.I(Canada),M.C.I.M(UK) MI.C.D.E.(Norway). Winner of Rastriya Samman Purskar, Pride of India Award, Samaj Sree Award,Best Citizen of India Award,Arch of Education Award,Glory of India Award,Marusthan Medal,Long Serviice Medal.

Four Aircraft parked in 40000 Square feet area at Practical Training Campus for Aeronautical Engineering. One of the Aircraft "ISKARA" fully metallic with all Cockpit Instrument, retractable under carriage, Two Cockpit with all active control surfaces a heavy Aircraft acquired from the Indian Air Force on approval of Ministry of Defence Govt. of India.

A large number of system components, piston and jet engines and their components, are also available.
