The Indian Gray Mongoose or Common Grey Mongoose (Herpestes edwardsii) is a species of mongoose found in southern India. They are found in scrub forest and may also be seen within cities. They can grow to about 2 feet long and are often seen in small family parties.
They are known for killing poisonous snakes.
