The Indian Association of Chiropractic Doctors (IACD) was voted into the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC) in June 2005, during a conference that was held in Sydney, Australia. The WFC is an association affiliated with the World Health Organization (WHO)[citation needed]. They have sanctioned the Indian Association of Chiropractic Doctors as the official association for Chiropractic in India.
The IACD aims to implement the natural healing effects of Chiropractic care into the general Indian public while protecting its image. Its role in India, is to act as the regulatory body ensuring that Chiropractic is being portrayed in a positive light, be the host to any Chiropractic school that is planning a trip to India, and create a positive working relationship with officials in India (both at the federal and provincial levels). From March 2006 until December 2007, Dr. Daniel Yen, an IACD Chief Administrator himself had been practicing in Gurgaon, Haryana as a full-time Chiropractor and was responsible for validating the educational background and qualification of each Chiropractor that is now working in India.
