Independência Futebol Clube or simply Independência is a Brazilian football team which is situated in the city of Rio Branco in the state of Acre. The team was founded on the 2 August 1946. Independência Futebol Clube's home kit is a shirt with green, white and red vertical stripes, white shorts and white socks. They play their home matches at the Estádio José de Melo which has a capacity of 8,000 and they are currently playing in the Campeonato Acreano which they have won 10 times. This makes them the 3rd most successful team in the league's history.
