This map shows Kashmir as fully Indian. However, it is partially occupied by Pakistan and China. Could someone please correct this with the proper borders (i.e. what each nation actually controls, rather than what one nation claims?). Thanks Makaar 22:04, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

If you look at the map more closely, you will notice that Pakistan administered Kashmir and Aksai Chin is marked in light green marking regions claimed by India but outside Indian administration. --Incman|वार्ता 20:58, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

Yes, but you have to look very closely. Perhaps make it slightly more clear? I'd be happy to do it, if you have no objections. It's just that having India in green, and India's claims in a slightly different shade of green seems a bit odd. Makaar 19:46, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

Please take out politics, why does even Indian claimed Kashmir is highlighted? It does not belong to India. By having this flawed map of India, Wikipedia is ruining its reputation. April 19, 2007

Exactly, thats what I want, no politics. Kashmir is a part of India (or at least we Indians to prefer to think of it that way; others may have different opinion). Wikipedia, to be neutral to all parties, should use the version of map where Kashmir is marked in light green. Nawabbawre (talk) 17:53, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
I've changed this image and also the Chinese one to orange and a lighter shade of green. What do you you think? --Shibo77 (talk) 21:39, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
Hey, this is User:Deepak from Wikimedia Commons. The map shows regions claimed by India but not under its control in lighter colors which in my opinion is perfectly fine, accurate and unbaised. Highlighting Arunachal Pradesh as a disputed territory is not required because 1) there are several Indian regions claimed by other countries such as Minocoy Island and Talpatty Island which also need to be highlighted in that case. 2) Arunachal Pradesh is not an 'active' dispute as this issue is barely raised in Indo-Chinese diplomatic circles. 3) The Chinese map you are talking about does not highlight Aksai Chin as a disputed region. So, why the impartial treatment towards India? Thanks --122.163.193.218 (talk) 10:31, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

kashmir the whole of it, is indias integral part.. cant other parties stick to the agreement and according to the agreement territory is indian..
