Category talk:Indo-European mythology

[edit] Guidelines
This category is intended to show the relationship of the various Indo-European mythologies.
It is intended to list the sub-categories, lists of gods, and ancient sources. The three known proto-Indo-European gods should also be listed by article as should general articles on the pantheon, characters, etc, without listing each article on a specific god and other minutiae.
I think it would be unwise too list every god and factoid here, since that could become much too large. It may be wise to keep pages of articles on gods and facts in sub-categories (such as "Celtic mythology"), since many of these are quite large already.
This also should prove useful for WikiMythographers in other non-Indo-European fields to separate their mythologies from their neighbors. For example, the very large collection of religions and mythologies in the Middle East should be grouped by culture, such as Persian (which is Indo-European) and Semitic and Egyptian.

I'm sorry, but is it necessary to sport this in-your-face warning template? It appears to be directed at morons. As a reader, I don't like being treated as a moron. dab (ᛏ) 09:07, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
