[edit] Ghost
you have mentioned the grey lady 'ghost'. As a child of about 10 myself and 3 friends clearly saw the ghost in the middle of the day in bright sunlight in summer. The sighting took place in the field behind the Punch Bowl pub which is not far from ince blundell. We raced home to tell our parents who nonchenatly accepted our story, as catholic boys we belived it was the holy mary. 5-6 years later while sat at the dining table my father, a gas fitter, started to tell us about his day. He had been working on a gas cooker in a cottage somewhere around sefton for a woman who was a cleaner for Sefton church which is next to the punch bowl. It was getting dark when my farther suggested he give her a lift to work. She declined and said she would take the 'tunnel'. My father quizzed her. She explained that there was a secret tunnel that ran from the cottage to the church a remnant from the reformation. She explained that there was a ghost in the tunnel who was her friend. My farther told us the womans description which matched exactly what we had seen years earlier. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.104.230.36 (talk • contribs)
