Incognito is a studio album by French singer Amanda Lear, first released on West German label Ariola Records in March 1981.
The album contains singles "Nymphomania", "Hollywood Is Just A Dream When You're Seventeen", "Love Amnesia", "Red Tape", "New York" and "Égal".
Just like 1978's Sweet Revenge, Incognito is a concept album - to a certain degree. This nine track package is loosely based on the Christian classification of vices, the seven deadly sins - with Lear adding two vices of her own: bureaucracy and nostalgia.
The track "New York" was originally recorded by composer Francis Lai and included on his 1980 album Paris - New York.
The rights to the Ariola-Eurodisc back catalogue are currently held by Sony BMG Music Entertainment - the original Incognito album in its entirety remains unreleased on compact disc.
