Inada Ryukichi

Inada Ryukichi (稲田龍吉1900-1950) was physician and professor.
He was born in Nagoya nad graduated Tokyo Teikoku daigaku Ika-daigaku and in 1902 studied abroad in Deutschland and went home, and was installed in the mecical school of first professor of Fukuoka medical school (Fukuoka Ika daigaku?)(present Kyushu University medical school (Kyushu daigaku igaku-bu?)).
In 1914 he discovered a Wile's disease pathogen, and did a research about the this disease based on the careful research policy and the profound scholarship. In 1915 he termed the pathogen as Paper about Japan infectious icterus (『日本黄疸出血性スピロヘータ病論』 Nihon Oudan shukketu-sei supirohēta byouron?). The content of this paper was range over from discover of pathogen, and contagion sources, clinical medicine, pathology, diagnosis, to cure. In 1920 he installed in medicine professor of medical school of Tokyo University (Toukyo daigaku igakubu?). He won Order of Culturel (文化勲章 'Bunka kunsho?).
Stock of Ictero No.1 which Dr. Inada discovered in 1914, it was maintained till now by Japanese scholar, and after 76 years, in 1990 was approved as the type culture of pathogenicity Leptospira in the Leptospira classification committee (レプトスピラ分類委員会 Reputosupira bunrui Iinkai?) in Ohsaka. He was nominated for the Nobel prize as the Japanese with Dr.Kitazato Shibasaburo .
