In with the Out Crowd is an album by ska-punk band Less Than Jake, released on May 23, 2006.
Sixteen songs were recorded during the studio session; however, the album only has twelve songs.
The album art is a photo collage of pictures sent in by fans and a few of the band themselves. The first single to be taken from the album is a double A-side: "Overrated (Everything Is)" / "A Still Life Franchise" and was released in the UK on May 8, 2006. The first single to be released in the US was also a double A-side: "The Rest Of My Life" / "Don't Fall Asleep on the Subway", released on August 31, 2006. The album is noted as featuring far less involvement from the horn section than past albums, and also received more negative reviews. Chris Demakes and the rest of the band often joke about this on stage, saying things like "We're working on a new album that you might actually like this time."
500 limited edition vinyls of the album were made, and distributed through various events, including the band's 6 Albums / 6 Shows / 6 Nights tours in Florida and London. The LPs come on purple swirl vinyl with orange labels and the album's cover printed on translucent paper. [2]
