"In the Rain" is a 1972 soul single by American vocal group The Dramatics. Released from their debut album, Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get, it reached number five on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and and spent four weeks at number one on the Hot Soul Singles chart. It would turn out to be their biggest hit.[1] The song was written by Tony Hester and was released in February 1972.[2]
