[edit] Past Events

California Dreamin'

In aChord's 2007 Summer concert took audiences on a thematic road trip down the coast of California, from San Francisco to San Diego. The show included songs from the Mamas and the Papas, the Beach Boys, and the Temptations with Route 66 as the opening song. This concert represented the first production directed by artistic director Victoria Mallory. The show was self-satirized as being the theme music from Disney's California Adventure park in Anaheim.

Lounge Lizards!

In aChord's 2006 Summer concert was comedic lounge act set in an off-the-strip piano bar in Las Vegas. The show's opening line set the tone, "Welcome, Ladies and Gentlemen . . . and others, sit back and sip your favorite martinis as we take you back to a time when the neon was bright, Sinatra was king, and it was still legal to wear polyester in the office." The performance was actually held in a hotel piano lounge in downtown San Diego. Lounge Lizards was largely considered one of In aChord's more popular concerts.

Closer

Though not a full concert, In aChord's 2005 summer performance took place in an intimate setting at the Bamboo Tea Lounge in San Diego. This performance featured accompanist Wendy Huang.

Jazz'n The City

In aChord's 2004 Summer concert took place at the Lyceum Theater and represented the largest production effort for the group to date. The strictly Jazz performance included songs by the Manhattan Transfer and many other jazz artists. The concert included performances by Romy Kaye and artistic director Kenny Ard.

Springtime is for Love

In aChord's 2003 Spring concert was a sentimental performance with songs that centered around love and relationships.

For All We Know

In aChord's first performance was in 2002 and acted as a proof of concept for new renditions of jazz and popular music.
