[edit] Purpose
InTouch's stated purpose for existence is Christian outreach. The main outreach tools used by the ministry are television and radio broadcasts. Further readings and references written by Dr. Stanley are advertised after the sermon and offered for purchase from InTouch Ministries. Some resources, such as the Life Principal Notes and Daily Devotional pamphlets are offered free.
InTouch's radio and television programs are broadcast in 52 languages [2] including Persian (Middle East), Dzongkha (Bhutan) and Assamese (India). [3]
[edit] Theme
Stanley's sermons are usually based on characteristics of a person, both negative and positive, rather than starting from a selected section of the Bible. The televised version is bulleted with key points and the methods through which the issue can (reportedly) be resolved are presented simultaneously with his sermon.
The themes sometimes recur, forming a series. For example, "Mines in the Pathway of the Believer" was a 10 week series about 10 pitfalls, including lust and jealousy [4], that Christians (and non-believers) face. The series was so popular it was aired in its entirety a second time.[citation needed]
