In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash (1966, ISBN 0-385-02174-7) is the title of a book by Jean Shepherd. The book is a collection of short stories. It was first published by Doubleday in New York in October, 1966.

The stories in the book In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash were set in the Great Depression. Many of the short stories in the book, including several set outside of the Christmas season, were later used as the basis for the 1983 movie A Christmas Story. The book was later reissued by Main Street Books in 1991 and was adapted into audio form by the recording agency AFB for the Talking Book Service of the NLS (Talking Book Number TB 01526).
