In Flanders Fields Museum

The In Flanders' Fields museum is devoted to study of World War I and occupies the second floor of the Cloth Hall, Ypres in Belgium. The building was virtually destroyed by artillery fire during the Battles of Ypres and has been reconstructed. The museum is devoted to making the scope and scale of the battles of the Western Front accessible to younger people. The curator, Piet Chielens, is a World War I historian. In Flanders' Fields museum gives an insight into the everyday life of soldiers during World War I.
