Imran Hermanovich Usmanov (Chechen: Имран Херманович Усманов) (born 1953) is a renowned Chechen folk singer whose deep baritone voice and songs about love and friendship are regarded as classics in Chechen music.[1]

Born in 1953 to Chechen parents, Imran Usmanov is from Nozhai-Yurt, Chechnya. He graduated from Rostov-on-Don Music Teachers Training College.

In April 2004, Imran announced that he would compose music to educate children on the danger of land mines.[2]

Imran currently serves as Director of Chechnya's Philharmonic Society.[3] Imran's influence on Chechen music has been so profound that virtually all contemporary Chechen singers sing his songs today.[4]
