[edit] Speedy deletion of Image:EMIMusicGR 200pc.jpg

A tag has been placed on Image:EMIMusicGR 200pc.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:EMIMusicGR 200pc.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:EMIMusicGR 200pc.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:Mm-s.jpeg)

⚠

Thanks for uploading Image:Mm-s.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Polly (Parrot) 16:51, 14 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Heaven Music

Thats because I made that category, lol. It's just a better set up than the others, there's nothing wrong with it. Grk1011 (talk) 23:43, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

There's also other greek labels set up like that by me for example see this. Grk1011 (talk) 23:48, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
Which could be your next project??? Are you the ip user on Minos EMI?Grk1011 (talk) 23:53, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
Okay nice. I just finished categorizing the cats for universal music greece and will make a cat for the albums when i have time (there already is one for artists). Grk1011 (talk) 23:59, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Labels

I only have this account. Greekboy is my friend. Actually, the other day i asked him whether we should change Protereotita by Elena Paparizou to Columbia since that what it read when I looked at the back of the cd. He said we should keep it Sony since Sony owned Columbia, which is true, but I still thought it should be Columbia, I just didnt continue to argue. I only put sony bmg on the garbi pages (i made them all) because i knew they were all with sony and i didnt know much about the record label then. I have no problem with you changing them. I saw it as you helping out. The only thing is that i would prefer "Columbia" instead of the Sony Music/Columbia. Grk1011 (talk) 18:39, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Also, make sure you pipe Columbia so when you click on it it does this: Columbia intead of this: Columbia. Grk1011 (talk) 20:09, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
I was saying because it says Columbia on the paparizou album just as it would on an old garbi album.
Take a look at Haris Alexiou, what do you think about doing something like that for the infobox instead? like "Columbia (Sony Music)" Grk1011 (talk) 00:12, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
Oh, and if you want, i have a find and replace program and can fix most of the columbia links for you. Grk1011 (talk) 00:16, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
I guess you didnt understand it, lol. I was saying that protereotita says Columbia just as an old Garbi album would, AND that maybe instead of "Columbia/Sony Music" we could do "Columbia (Sony Music)" in infoboxes in general. Grk1011 (talk) 00:30, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

I just noticed that Minos EMI has no sources. We need to put in some intext citations before they tag us with all of those templates. Grk1011 (talk) 11:26, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Tense

Are you aware that you are writing past events in the future tense? click this. Its the second time that ive seen it, so just letting you know. Grk1011 (talk) 20:06, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Fixed. I know it looked a little funny, but I think it was grammatically correct. Either way, now that it's all in past tense we can all be more sure of its validity. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.65.181.53 (talk) 20:53, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
You just needed to change "will" to "would" Grk1011 (talk) 21:08, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Labels

check out Katy Garbi's label in the infobox. It's just an idea. Grk1011 (talk) 03:11, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Tried to edit the table but my HTML skills are a little rusty these days. lol... Anyways I think this table is redundant, well not the table itself but perhaps specifying the labels for an artistbox, (instead of just the name of the record company that has the artist under contract.) However, the albums themselves are very specific for their time ;).
To make your table more complete you would need a cell that firstly reads CBS Records (1988-1991). Also the company name should specify the country name and not the label, since logos are fairly standard across the board.
Lets not forget though that Columbia is still marked on the Sony BMG releases only now its just an imprint in the fineprint, although I think it is still on the spine next to the sony-bmg logo. So thats a whole other issue to adress. ... lmao! Imperatore (talk) 08:11, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
Ok, i changed it to reflect cbs which i left out accidently. I also renamed a column. I think its useful to denote which imprint the artist released on since having just the company doesnt specify. The wikicharts are pretty easy to edit, i learned by just looking at others, just remember to use the "show preview" button next to "save page", you can usually catch any errors before you save. Also, at the end of your posts on talk pages add ~~~~. It signs your name. Grk1011 (talk) 01:12, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
So what do you think of the chart now? RCA could be listed in Elena's. Grk1011 (talk) 01:25, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

For consistancy, i propose that we do record company/imprint like Sony Music/Columbia instead of Columbia/Sony Music.Grk1011 (talk) 22:04, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Well she had columbia before the sony/bmg merger. ive noticed that labels can be very confusing. Grk1011 (talk) 11:29, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
The fine print on "Protereotita" and "Protereotita: Euro Edition" are both Sony Music Entertainment Greece. Don't know about "Protereotita: Euro Edition + Mambo!" though, because I don't have the covers for that. Greekboy (talk) 06:58, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

If Katy Garbi has always been Columbia, then should the "CBS Records" be changed to "CBS/Columbia"? (btw, we're not supposed to use "records" in the box)Grk1011 (talk) 14:06, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

I'm just saying since you took the label history out. Also always reply where the convo was started, i have this page in my watchlist. Grk1011 (talk) 16:42, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
Ok no problem. I'm finally getting the hang of it lol. Imperatore (talk) 16:59, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Mad Secret Concerts

The move was def needed since she isnt the only one, but we need a better name than just adding elena to the end. Whats your msn? Grk1011 (talk) 16:11, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

We can add a semi colon " : " as such "Mad Secret Concerts: Helena Paparizou". Imperatore (talk) 16:13, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
I put a dash in, it works. whats this new one your making? Grk1011 (talk) 16:54, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Yup a dash works too! I added the October 2007 concert she gave under her promotional contract with Nokia through the pan-european Nokia Trends Lab events campaign which was also released on dvd. Imperatore (talk) 16:58, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Hey. I responded to your message on my talk page where it started, so look there for replies so we can keep conversations together. Also I have a little request from you. Can you try to edit only with your username, maybe click "remember me" when signing in? lol. It makes things easier in the watchlists. You should use Watchlists if you already don't. Thanks.
