I was born in East London, South Africa on January 15, 1972, which makes me a Capricorn (and a Metal Pig in Chinese astrology, not a Rat as previously thought, tho being on the cusp I see both sets of traits in my personality), which, incidentally, seems to be the most common zodiac sign of the people I meet. My family moved to Melbourne, Australia in 1977, where I grew up. I went to Huntingtower School followed by RMIT University, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Computer Science degree in 1994. In 1995 I moved to Boston, USA, and married a local Bostonite in mid-1996. I proceeded to live in Boston (Malden to be exact) until late 2003, at which time I separated from my wife (from whom I was divorced in 2004) and travelled to Asia, in particular Japan and Thailand. I lived and studied in Tokyo, Japan for a short time in mid-2004. It was while travelling and working as a freelancer that I met my current wife from Bangkok, Thailand on the island of Ko Samet in Thailand on September 11, 2004. On April 25, 2005, we were married in a traditional Thai Buddhist wedding ceremony in Bangkok. In August the same year I returned to and re-settled in Melbourne, and my wife moved from Bangkok to join me in Melbourne on April 1, 2006. On July 23 we bought our first home together (though we do own an apartment in the outskirts of Bangkok).

Life has been good to me, and I have no regrets, even in the toughest times of my journey.
