Impulse is an updated successor to Stardock's Stardock Central. Along with UI changes, Impulse works with new titles developed by Stardock to provide new features. It is completely optional, and is not required to run software distributed or made by Stardock.

Supports third party software and games, which you can purchase from Impuse (similar to X-Box Live Marketplace)
Supports chat, blogs, and user achievements
Supports backup of downloaded games to CD/DVD
Supports replacement of bought CD/DVDs via re-downloads.
Replaces Stardock Central as an update downloader/installer/manager.
