re:Motto of the Day nominations

I am not a sysop, therefore I do not have the authority to close the nominations, even though I wish I could for some particularly noxious entries :P. But here's how the system works as I understand it. After 21 days of being added to the 'in review' section, providing it has garnered enough support, an approved motto will go to the 'awaiting decision section', while opposed mottos disappear never to be seen again. Hopefully. Once a motto is awaiting decision, it will be voted on again. After 21 days, well-supported mottos go to the upcoming motto schedule, and opposed ones are killed. Mottos that have not been voted on at all are resubmitted in order to try again. Hope that answers your question. Cheers, MixItUp 21:28, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Just to let you know, I found out that everybody can change the Motto page. Feel free to help out with organizing and such, though I recommend reading all of the instructions first...I had to go back and fix a number of edits I had done before I finally located what to do. It's an unnecessarily messy process right now, hopefully the system gets less complicated at some point.MixItUp 21:21, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

Could I ask you for a favor?

Starting tomorrow I will only be on sporadically due to putting 3 15 hour days (ugh) into some real life responsibilities, and then I'm taking off for a trip until Wednesday (woot). You're an experienced user whose name carries weight, but you don't seem to realize it (maybe you do, IDK). If I'm going to ask someone for a favor, I want them to be experienced. I also don't want it to be someone who will rub there experience in someone's face. You fit that bill perfectly. Though I was in my glory days back then, so the circumstances are a little different, I've given this job to Save Us 229, Yandman (a now inactive admin, but at the time he was one of the people who dared take on terrorism related articles), and Caribbean H.Q. all at the same time.
