Re: Picking your GAN reviewer of the week

I've actually started doing this every two weeks; it's a bit less frequent, but still gives a good amount of reviews for each cycle. Plus, it doesn't keep me quite as busy. The process involves more than just a simple count of the number of reviews; I look at each individual review that's been completed (either pass or fail), and not counting 'on holds' (holds will be counted once they pass). Of the pass/fails, I look at the actual review itself; was the review a simple statement (e.g. "this article passes GA."), with nothing else in the review, or did the review point out specific issues and relate them to the GA criteria. A simple pass/fail is not counted, reviews with helpful comments (even 'pass' reviews that either convert from on hold status after comments were made, or a pass that goes beyond the criteria and offers useful suggestions for improvement towards ultimate FA status) are what I am looking at for the awards. The process also allows me to do a second, quality control review to catch articles that might otherwise slip through that obviously don't meet the criteria. Dr. Cash (talk) 15:11, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

RE:colors

Yeah, go ahead. I'm probably going to retire the SexySeaBass signature; I've grown apart from it. Cheers, -The Hybrid- 05:15, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

As you can see Matt I've taken what you said to heart and am trying to bring up my mainspace edit's. If you wanta see if this is Lance Cade or not try this web site: http://ip2locaron.com, if it's reliable I do not know. ZACH 16:21, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks (I KNOW!)

Just a little thank you for telling to get back on track. I promise that his sig will be the last one for a while. By the way, nice new sig. Cheers,SimonKSK 19:35, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Note

My attention's just been drawn to this. I appreciate it's a month ago and you may have realised your mistake since then (I haven't checked your more recent contributions yet) but this is your only warning regarding the matter. You've explicitly advised a user to breach policy to evade the automatic protections built into the system, and consequently got him into trouble through no fault of his own; please do not continue to give advice like this. iridescent 23:06, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Isn't that a bit of an overreaction? I mean, the whole incident happened over a month ago, a simple message noting the policy should be sufficient, lousy advice shouldn't justify a block unless the user is entirely conscious about breaching the relevant policy. - Caribbean~H.Q. 23:13, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
You're right, it does look snarky (although I've certainly not suggested I'll block him!) - I've made the title more neutral & removed the warning icon. iridescent 23:19, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

Newsletter

Matt, I have added spoken files to WWE Cruiserweight Championship and WWE European Championship, would this warrant a mention on the Newsletter? Darrenhusted (talk) 09:47, 29 May 2008 (UTC)

McMahon/Dibiase

Please explain how "wrong" it is.

Vince has been on Raw 3 of the last 4 weeks, will be on next week to explain the giveaway [1], and was running Raw last week due to a lack of a GM and more than likely will keep doing so until there's a new GM.

I was putting him under other on-air talent along with Dibiase, due to him being with his son.

Where am I mistaken?

ECW Anarchy Rulz

Just to let you know I've removed the prod on ECW Anarchy Rulz. I've managed to find reliable sources that I've added to the article and will wikify them fully in the next few days. Having said that, the article is ripe for cleanup. Many thanks, Gazimoff WriteRead 01:15, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

My Edit

My reference proved that WWE Wrestlers are independent contractors. Please don't take my edit down. I have proven it to be true from the company itself. http://corporate.wwe.com/company/events.jspSChaos1701 (talk) 01:08, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

WP:HAU

Hello yet again. I regretfully inform you that the bot we were using to update the user status at Wikipedia:Highly Active Users, SoxBot V, was blocked for its constant updating. With this bot out of operation, a patch is in the works. Until that patch is reviewed and accepted by the developers, some options have been presented to use as workarounds: 1) Qui monobook (not available in Internet Explorer); 2) User:Hersfold/StatusTemplate; 3) Manually updating User:StatusBot/Status/USERNAME; or 4) Not worry about it and wait for the patch to go through, which hopefully won't take long. If you have another method, you can use that, too. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Useight (talk) 17:55, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Ah, yeah, I forgot. As for the other thing, is it the real thing, or the "imposter"? BTW, I've alerted Alison about it. D.M.N. (talk) 21:10, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Yup. His last edit was on 31st May to Alison's userpage, and hasn't edited since, while the other user has really picked up in the past few days. D.M.N. (talk) 21:34, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
I'll let Alison run CheckUser before digging further into speculation. I think it's for the best. D.M.N. (talk) 21:37, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
I see what you mean. However, even if it isn't, this user needs to be watched, just because he's a bit too _____. I can't think of a word; the only thing that seems to fit is jumpy :P. I'll keep an eye on him. Cheers, The Hybrid 01:28, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Well, um, I have, um, reasons... to be, um, skeptical 0_o. He may just be a fiery new user with many misconceptions, like I - was... Anyway, if he tries to model himself after Lid and Mshake there shouldn't be a problem. Cheers, The Hybrid 10:53, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

To any thinking person he would appear to be a blatant sock, I agree, but I have access to some information that you don't. However, do go ahead and contact Alison; my information may be sketchy in this case. It'd probably be better for you to contact her, than if I did. Cheers, The Hybrid 11:01, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Good. If it is HMan related, it is one of the impostors, I'm sure. I have reason to believe that the actual HMan is not in control of the account. However, there is also some reason to doubt the validity of the information. I have access to more information as it relates to HMan than most of the community, bulletproof and Alison being the exceptions, but it has proven to be a double-edged sword. Cheers, The Hybrid 11:07, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, we need to let Alison do her thing. HMan is through until he requests an unban in the future. The impostors are the ones that we need to look out for. However, I don't think SChaos is Steelerfan; his socks were just blatant joke accounts. They weren't actual imitations of his behavior. This is probably our second sockmaster, or it is just someone who happens to act like HMan. Cheers, The Hybrid 11:18, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

Good luck, I'll use my psychic powers to give you the answers. Let me know how you think you did when you get back. Cheers, The Hybrid 11:34, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

RE: Banner

Sure! The only thing is I'll probably have to use stickmen for the illustration, as most wrestling pics are copyrighted. What colours would you like in terms of text and such? Red and gray? Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :) 04:44, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Sounds great, I'll work on it in a second. Cheers, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! :) 02:20, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
