Imaginary Friends (play)

'Imaginary Friends' is a play with music written by Nora Ephron, with music by Marvin Hamlisch and lyrics by Craig Carnelia. This is the first stage play written by Nora Ephron.
Imaginary Friends premiered at The Globe Theatre, San Diego, where it ran from September 21 through November 3, 2002. It then opened on Broadway at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on December 12, 2002 and closed on February 16, 2003, running for 76 performances and 20 previews. Directed by Jack O'Brien, it starred Cherry Jones as Mary McCarthy and Swoosie Kurtz as Lillian Hellman. Choreography was by Jerry Mitchell.
