 This is a "tracking category", a category intended to build and maintain a list of pages primarily for the sake of the list itself. Rather than being part of the encyclopedia's categorization scheme, these categories are used to track, for example, the use of syntaxes that may be deprecated in the future, to maintain a list of pages that may need to be edited en masse later, or to aggregate the members of several sub-categories by other classifications into one larger list. |
This category contains putatively free images uploaded to replace placeholder images which are awaiting review to confirm their copyright and license status. It is perfectly normal and desirable for this category to be empty.
Images in this category should be reviewed by users familiar the Wikipedia image use policy. Images determined to be free should be marked as reviewed by replacing their license tag with {{Multilicense replacing placeholder|reviewed=1}}, which will remove them from this category and place them in Category:Reviewed images replacing placeholders. Images found to be unfree should be tagged for deletion.
