Regarding basilisk: Please stop overwriting this article by replacing it with your own personal essay. Not only is your version vastly inferior, but it destroys the work of previous editors. [edit] Inheritance (trilogy)

Wikipedia is not a fan message and rumor board. Please leave this article in the format I pared it down to. Information regarding each book can be put on the articles for each book. - UtherSRG 15:30, May 5, 2005 (UTC)

What you did was not appropriate. Putting empty sections or sections with text describing what is to go there instead of actually writing the sections is not appropriate. Further, Inheritance (trilogy) is about the trilogy itself. I moved your summary of Eragon to the Eragon article. Also, there are already articles or red links to the character articles, which is where it is appropriate to write about each character. - UtherSRG 20:18, May 5, 2005 (UTC)

No, I don't have a grudge against you. However, when I see a user who makes poor edit choices on articles I'm watching, I look to see what other edits they've recently made to fix them as well, or to comment on the talk/voting pages they've editted. - UtherSRG 20:24, May 5, 2005 (UTC)

I didn't delete the article, I editted back to what it was before your edit, keeping the external link, and moving your summary to Eragon where it belonged. What you left was inappropriate. If you need to "cut and run" because you have something else you need to do, you can leave your unfinished work behind HTML comments, or you can work on an alternate version of thepage in your own user space instead of in the main encyslopedia. I'll provide you with help below. - UtherSRG 20:27, May 5, 2005 (UTC)

PS. I *am* an administrator. - UtherSRG 20:29, May 5, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] More replies

I'm not trying to insult you, but you left the article a mess. It was a terrible thing to do, so I cleaned it up. I then went to your user page. On the lefthand sidee when you are viewing a user's page or talk page is a tool box that includes a link called "User contributions". This will list the 50 most recent edits they've made. that's how I saw what edits you'd made. - UtherSRG 20:33, May 5, 2005 (UTC)
