Ilfracombe is a small town in Queensland, Australia. The main industry is sheep rearing, mainly for wool. Ilfracombe is the home of a collection of antique agricultural machinery. At the 2006 census, Ilfracombe and the surrounding had a population of 269.[1]
Notable people from the area include Quentin Bryce, Governor of Queensland and Governor-General of Australia from September 2008.[2] and Paul Wilson, author of the international best selling The Little Book of Calm and the Calm series of books.[citation needed]
