Ilene Kristen (born July 30, 1952) is an American actress.
Having acted off and on Broadway for several years, including the musicals Grease and Mayor, Kristen made her television debut in the role of Delia Reid on the ABC soap opera Ryan's Hope in 1975 and remained with the show until 1979. In 1982, she returned to television, portraying Georgina Whitman on One Life to Live, but was fired a year later because ABC felt she was overweight[citation needed]. Kristen returned to Ryan's Hope in 1986, remaining there until it was cancelled three years later. She remains friends with former Ryan's Hope actress Kate Mulgrew and supported Mulgrew's husband Tim Hagan when he ran for Governor of Ohio[citation needed].
After Ryan's Hope ended, she made appearances on several soap operas, including Loving and Another World, before she signed on for her current role as neglectful mother and beautician Roxanne "Roxy" Balsom Holden in One Life to Live in 2001.
In 2004 and 2005, she was nominated for the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
