Il Posto (1961) is a Italian film directed by Ermanno Olmi.[1]
The film tells the story of Domenico, a young man applying for a job at a big city corporation. He goes through a bizarre series of exams, physical tests and interviews before landing a job in the typing pool in a process that gradually strips him of his individuality. The film, shot in Milan, is in part a satire on Italy's "economic miracle."
