The Il Moro di Venezia was the Italian America's Cup Contender in 1992. Built in 1989, it sailed under the number ITA 1, declaring it the first hull of the new generation America's Cup boats. It raced in the finals against the American defender America³. It lost the match with a record of 1-4. The yacht was rebuilt in the late 1990s and sailed on the San Francisco Bay. It was sold on Ebay in 2006.
