The International Journal of Online Engineering (usually known as iJOE; ISSN 1861-2121) is a free on-line peer-reviewed scholarly journal publishing papers in all areas of Online and Remote Engineering. It was established in 2005, and the first electronic scientific journal devoted to Online Engineering. It has published more than 100 papers as of 2005. The founding and current editor is Michael E. Auer. iJOE features a short review period, with most articles being reviewed within three months of submission; accepted papers are published on the Internet immediately upon acceptance. Paper volumes are printed by the Kassel University Press.
