[edit] Notability
This article may or may not meet the requirement for notability. However, due to content that was neither accurate nor written from a NPOV, posted from May 2006-March 2007, the current fixed version should be permitted to remain on the site for at least a similar ten-month period, which would be until January 2008. This is especially important because as other sites upload content created on Wikipedia, some at slower rates than others, the fixed version needs to replace previous versions on these sites. Comments welcome. Journalist1983 15:53, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] alleged procurement scandal
The company was caught up in an "alleged" procurement scandal, pursued by a zealous Fox News reporter (and a few others with an agenda) who wrote stories not from a NPOV. To say it was alleged means no wrongdoing was ever committed or at least proven. The company was never even investigated for wrongdoing by any governmental agency, not even NY's Spitzer. The NY Times ran a story, written in part by now-discredited reporter Judith Miller, the one who reported to us for years that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction and gave the Bush White House political cover to go to war, that was every bit as poorly written as the Fox News stories, stating that a UN procurement official resigned because of his relationship with IHC, citing "The conflict of interest issue involved a contract given in 1999 to IHC Services Inc. of New York." [1] However, the NYT didn't source this statement, with good reason. It wasn't true. Who said that was why the UN official resigned? News stories should cite a source for scandal statements like this. In fact, he resigned because of other reasons involving kickbacks under the oil-for-food program, something IHC was never involved in. He went to jail for these crimes; again, IHC was never even involved in this and had no role at his trial. This was a big non-story pursued by those who had an axe to grind with the UN that forced this tiny company (less than 10 people) out of business. I would support an AfD tag, if anyone wants to post it, for this article. This article was originally posted by business competitors to IHC, and should be removed. Wikipedia should not be used in this manner. Conversely, I would be happy to write with others a version of the above on the article. Let me know what your opinion is.
