Ihara District, Shizuoka

Ihara (庵原郡 Ihara-gun?) is a district located in Shizuoka, Japan.

As of 2003, the district has an estimated population of 26,859 and a density of 497.85 persons per km². The total area is 53.95 km².

The town of Kanbara became part of the city of Shizuoka (Shimizu-ku) on March 31, 2006.

On November 1, 2008, Ihara District will cease to exist when Fujikawa is merged into Fuji City and Yui is merged into Shimizu ward.
