Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. It appears you have not followed this policy at Nick Brimble. Please always observe our core policies. Thank you. Tlesher 04:09, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Nick Brimble. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Please refrain from adding your own, personal opinion to Wikipedia articles. Edits to Wikipedia articles must be neutral, and facts asserted must be backed up with verifiable sources. Thank you very much for alerting me to the policy area for Wikippedia. This is the first time I have seen this site and after reading the policies you kindly directed me to read, I agree with your conclusion. Yes, please remove what I wrote as your site certainly is not the appropriate spot for opinions. Thank you again, and I will become a reader rather than a contributor unless I truly have neutral, verifiable information to offer, which will always be given the appropriate citations. Your commentary was a vast help.
- Not a problem--we were all new here once. By the way, if you ever have information that you think should be added to an article, but aren't sure whether it "passes muster" or can't find a reference for it, it's common to add a note containing the information to the article's "discussion" page. That way, others who see it might be able to help verify it. Tlesher 04:46, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
Again, my thanks for directing me to the discussion page for assistance with information verification, and your guidance to the five policies. Those policies will be invaluable for me for other writing assignments, in addition to those being the operating policies on a site which is an Encyclopedia. This site appears to be a great source of information and will be one I will consult frequently.
