Igor Kvasha

Igor Kvasha was born in 1933 in Moscow. After nine years the Great Patriotic War began. His father went to defend their homeland. Since the war, he has not returned and Igor later found out that his father died below Leningrad. In 1955 Igor finished School of Theatre Arts where after two years he played a couple roles. In 1957, Kvasha was invited to the theatre "Sovremennik" together with Galina Volchek and Oleg Yefremov they became the founders of the theater. Igor Kvasha works to this day in the theater "Sovremennik". Over the years, the actor has played in a huge number of performances.

I am often invited to sample, but I refuse i feel that the film business could get in the way of my work in the theatre." He made his debut in 1961, the role of a soldier in the military drama Scene Ilya Gurina "In a difficult hour."

Recently, the talented actor became a host for a remarkable programme of the First Channel "Zhdi me." Igor himself acknowledges that he got there accidentally. But I think there are still some vision that he is such an open, spiritual man that became the host of this wonderful show.
