Ignacio Camacho has been highly regarded as one of the game's top prospects (at youth level) for a couple of years. His performances for Zaragoza ensured a move to Atletico Madrid. He's currently captaining Spain in the UEFA Under-17 European Championship - a tournament in which many of today's star players have competed.

As for the allegation that I made him up, a simple Google search brings up many references. For example:

I intend to update the player's page with additional information in a few days.

You should definitely flesh this out, but the speedy deletion is a mistake. --Haemo 01:15, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Ignacio Camacho has been practicing with Atletico's first team recently and is expected to make a start or appear as a substitute tomorrow (Saturday, March 1, 2008) against FC Barcelona. Here is a Spanish newspaper's preview of the matchup, which includes a picture of Camacho and the statement that he is expected to start. That he's listed on the squad sheet for a La Liga game is certainly notable enough for Wikipedia. Thanks, Isaiah (talk) 17:35, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

  • Wikipedia notability usually requires a professional appearance (see WP:FOOTY/Notability and WP:ATHLETE), if he plays tomorrow he will definitely pass the notability criteria, however if he doesn't I'll send it to AfD for discussion. English peasant 20:53, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
