"If You're Not the One" is a single by Daniel Bedingfield released in 2002. It was number one in the UK charts in December 2002 and reached number 15 in the US.
Ace Young covered the song on the American Idol (Season 5). Shayne Ward has also covered the song numerous times on The X Factor UK, and it was a B-side on his debut single, "That's My Goal". Following Ward's live performance, Simon Cowell, a judge on The X Factor, said that the song is "one of the best pop songs of all time". In 2007, Cliff Richard covered the song on his 2007 album, Love... The Album.
The song features Bedingfield singing falsetto in the chorus, where he hits the note Eb5 (His Backing Vocal hits the note G5).
