"If Ya Gettin' Down" was the debut single released from Five's second album Invincible in July 1999.

[edit] Song Information

"If Ya Gettin' Down" was co-written by Richard Stannard, Julian Gallagher, Jason 'J' Brown, Sean Conlon and Richard Breen. It was co-produced by Stannard and Rowe. The song also samples music from the hit song "Last Night a DJ Saved My Life". The video to If Ya Gettin' Down is more darker and edgier and features one of Five's catchiest dance routines. The video also featured five male dancers posing as the members of Five, doing high kicks, back flips and flashy routines, but fans were not easily fooled. The song and dance routine was also a hit with the fans when performed live in concert.

[edit] Chart Success

Possibly one of Five's biggest dance hits & most popular songs/videos, the song went to #1 in New Zealand, but failed to top the charts in the UK and Australia due to Ricky Martin's "Livin' La Vida Loca" and Pearl Jam's "Last Kiss" being released at the same time respectively. If Ya Gettin' Down managed to stay in the #2 position in the UK and at #2 for 3 weeks in Australia.
