The Ier River (Hungarian: Ér) is a tributary of the Mureş River. It originates near the village of Ghioroc at flows westwards crossing the border into Hungary near the village of Turnu.
The river is entirely channelized and is integrated into the drainage system of the area.

The Hungarian name of the river means "brook". The Romanian name derives from that.
