[edit] Welcome

Welcome to Wikipedia. To find out how to make useful contributions, take a look at the welcome page. To stay in Wikipedia, an article has to be about something notable, that is, of general interest. Click on Notability for an explanation of what that means. Also, it must give independently verifiable sources. Articles that don't meet these requirements are likely to be deleted. I have turned your article "Pathenogenisis" into a redirect to Parthenogenesis, which is how the word is really spelled, and is an existing article. Before planning a new article, it is worth checking whether Wikipedia already covers the subject - with over 2,000,000 articles, it quite likely does! Follow the links in the Welcome paragraph above for more useful advice about contributing. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 17:16, 9 May 2008 (UTC) 'Thanks!' Idrisqu (talk) 08:35, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for authoring an article! In this case, I believe you meant to type Parthenogenesis in the Search box, in which case you would have seen that an article on this subject already exists. As you can see, an Adminstrator has changed the Pathenogenisis page to point to Parthenogenesis. By the way, if you ever are unsure of the spelling of a search term, or the search turns up with no results when you did not expect it to do so, try searching for the term using Google, as I did here. You'll see that a recommended different spelling, in this case Did you mean: parthenogenesis is shown. You can then search for a Wiki article using the different (usually, correct) spelling.
