IDRISI is a geographic information system (GIS) developed by Clark Labs for the analysis and display of digital spatial information. As of May 2007 it is on version 15 (known as IDRISI Andes). Besides its primary purposes, IDRISI is popular as an academic tool for teaching the principle theories behind GIS in colleges and universities.
