Ichiya Kumagae (熊谷一弥, born September 10, 1890 — August 16, 1968, in Omuta, Fukuoka Prefecture) was a male tennis player from Japan. He is best known for his two Olympic silver medals at the 1920 Antwerp Olympics. In the men's singles event he lost to South African Louis Raymond in the final, 7–5, 4–6. 5–7, 4–6. Kumagae and his partner Seiichiro Kashio lost Oswald Turnbull and Maxwell Woosnam of Great Britain for the gold medal match, 2–6, 7–5, 5–7, 5–7. Also, he became semifinalist in US Open 1918, the first Grand Slam semifinalist from Japan. Kumagae was Japan's first Davis Cup captain, including the runner-up finish in 1921.
