- Thanks, Alai. At first I tried to sign by writing the time by myself, until I read about the tildes somewhere. Some comments were even left unsigned. Won't happen again (unless I really really forget someday). Icecypher 19:38, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] DQ articles
I'd like to help with the DQ articles, but I don't know what I can do. I've got the strategy guide for DQ8, but that's the only reference I could think of. I wouldn't know how to add it to the article, partially because it's an "authorized" (and therefore not independant) source. Can you think of anything more specific I can help with? - It is mostly getting sources for the articles, before we can expand them further. As you said, it is not easy because the guide books are not the first choice as reference. Sadly, unless we get a translator and not-Enix valid sources, the articles cannot grow much, because everything would be considered "original research", even if it is stated as-is in the games themselves (wish the games' textual dialogues could be used to some extent). Thanks for your disposition. If you have some info that can be added without needing a source, or know of something we can use as source, please let us know. Thanks, again. First id like to say great job with the DQ articles! And, as i see the comment above me("wish the games' textual dialogues could be used to some extent"), i remember that on the final fantasy 7 page, they use quotes from the actual game as references. is that the same thing as youre talking about? - That's exactly what I am talking about. The game itself does state things that could be used as references. However, admins may still take them as "original research". Primary sources are allowed sometimes, though, so it would be worth a try. Icecypher 15:34, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] IP block
I tried to edit a page today only to find the IP I am using is blocked. Dunno if the proxy I use has a fixed IP or if it's rotating. I can check later if the IP is different, in which case, I wouldn't need the block to be lifted. Thanks.
You can leave it that way, thanks. It was the IP at work. Whether it is a fixed IP or a dynamic one, I can live by editing at home. Thanks again for the prompt reply. Icecypher 06:31, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
