[edit] Tone Issues

This article has serious problems with informality of tone and generally reads less like an encyclopedia entry than it does an abbreviated version of Slim's autobiography. A good example of this is a description of Slim's mother "crying as hard as any person has ever cried" or somesuch. I'll try to put in some work on this, but my focus is generally in other areas and it would be nice if people with more expertise and time would help out. Thanks. I agree - the tone of this article is terrible. It's really biased and needs a lot of work. I'm goign to put a neutrality tag on it. Russthomas15 12:11, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Expansions

This article expanded Apr 29 2005 2354 est usa by me anonysmously. I have cookie problems so the edit is anon. I would think that very very much criticism in the form of heated discussion will occur here at this wiki. The written product is unbelievably rich and controversial, and so rewarding and easy to read them that one has a lot of energy to talk about the book afterwords. They are as well written and clear as The Autobiography of Malcolm X and Roots by Alex Haley and very comparable in their written affect. They are wiki level politically neutral and suitable. As people write about the individual books here at Iceberg Slim, the writing will overflow and a Criticism of Iceberg Slim page will be created and organized. Ice T made a video I saw in 1990 about Slim and he held up a book and read from it, and explained the name connection. As T is on NBC, this video is something that should be found expanded and link footnoted.McDogmApr 29 2005 2358 est usa
