Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 1999

For the 1999 Eurovision Song Contest, Iceland entered All out of luck, performed by Selma. The song selection was held internally, so no details about the selection process are known.
In the contest, it received 146 points and finished second behind Sweden. It is currently the country's best result in the Contest.
Selma would go to represent the country again in 2005, but would fare worse - Iceland failed to qualify for the Contest's Final. Rather ironically, she also provided them with their worst placing as well (16th in that Semifinal).
